Exhibitions
L91 Art Foundation supports a small number of curated exhibitions each year. These presentations may draw from the foundation’s collection, from borrowed works, or from projects co-organized with museums, non-profit spaces, and independent curators around the world.
Exhibitions are conceived as focused experiments rather than large-scale displays. Each project is built around a subject, theme, or line of research, allowing artists and curators to explore ideas with clarity and depth. The emphasis is on careful installation, close looking, and the possibility of extended conversations over time.
L91 does not operate a permanent exhibition space and does not maintain regular visiting hours. Projects are hosted in collaboration with partner institutions or in temporary spaces that suit the work. Details such as dates, locations, and visitor information are typically published by the presenting venue.
The foundation is particularly interested in exhibitions that:
- Highlight underrepresented or emerging voices in contemporary visual culture;
- Connect artists and curators across cities, regions, and disciplines;
- Test new forms of presentation, reading, and dialogue around art;
- Encourage audiences to encounter works in a quiet, attentive way.
In addition to supporting exhibitions directly, L91 may provide loans from the collection, research support, or modest funding to projects that align with its mission and long-term priorities.
